We know these roads. We've ridden every one of them. That's the whole idea.
We started SudRiders because we kept riding the South and couldn't find a tour worth recommending to anyone we knew.
Not because the region is hard to ride — it's not. Because nobody had bothered to do it properly. Aspromonte, Sila, Pollino, the Vulture highlands, the Costa Viola. Dramatic roads, empty of traffic, full of things worth stopping for. And almost no organised presence at all.
So we built the routes ourselves. Tested them in every season. Found the right places to eat, sleep, and refuel — the kind you only find if you've actually been there. Then we turned all of that into tours we'd want to do ourselves.
We're based in Catania. We ride twelve months a year. We don't have an off-season because the South doesn't have one either.
"Every curve hides something you didn't expect.— SudRiders Tour Leader
That's why you're here."
Three principles that shape every route, every accommodation, every decision we make.
Every route we offer is one we've ridden ourselves, more than once. We know which mountain pass gets gravel after rain, which trattoria in the Pollino is worth the detour, and where to pull over when the light turns gold over the Tyrrhenian. That's not something you can put together from a map.
Some riders want to bring their own machine and go. Others want a BMW R 1300 GS waiting for them at the start. Others want us to design the whole thing from scratch around their group. We do all three, with the same level of care.
We don't add stops to make the itinerary look fuller. If a viewpoint, a village or a restaurant is on the program, it's because we've been there and it's worth your time. Everything else gets cut.
Three things that are actually different about how we work — not marketing, just the honest version.
Aspromonte, Sila, Pollino, the Vulture — extraordinary roads that organised motorcycle touring has mostly ignored. We didn't. We went there, we rode everything, and we built tours around what we found. If you want Sicily, there are a hundred operators. If you want the rest of the South, there's us.
The South in January is cold in the mountains and mild on the coast. In February the almond trees bloom in the Agrigento valley. In March the Sila is still under snow and the roads are empty. There's always a reason to ride. We're here twelve months a year.
You choose the format. Self Drive from €890 if you want the route and nothing else. Full Guided with bike from €2,800 if you want a tour leader and a BMW waiting at the start. Or tell us what you have in mind and we'll build it. Same roads, same quality, different level of hand-holding.
You bring your bike, we handle everything else. GPX routes, accommodation, roadside support contacts and full pre-departure briefing included.
Fully guided experience with a SudRiders tour leader. BMW R 1300 GS, Harley-Davidson or Ducati Multistrada V4 S included in the price.
Your dates, your route, your group. We build a completely custom itinerary around your preferences — solo, couple, or private group.
If something on the site fits, book it. If not, write to us — we've put together custom trips for solo riders, couples and groups. We'll find something that works.
